Tagaytay Weekend Getaway

January 21 to 22, 2011

Went to Tagaytay early morning on January 21. Stopped over at All About Goto to get breakfast for everyone. GOTO and Lumpia for all 6 of us, bill was about 300 pesos, not bad.

After breakfast, we went straight to Residence Inn Zoo. Entrance during this time was Php199 per head.

first stop was the bird feeding. P10pesos per pack of bird seeds and you can get inside the screened area to feed the birds which will literally fly to you to get those seeds. Sandy was a little scared because there were a lot of birds and they went flying together when they saw the seeds.

Zipline was offered in the zoo. P150 per head for about 200 meter long zipline ride. Good thing about it is it's already 2 way. They will bring you back via cable car. Look at Veejay's face, he's so scared of slow moving rides on heights. Worse, the crew shakes the cable car!

There were different animals for viewing as well, of course they are a zoo!

After the zoo, we went to Keni Po, the hotel where we booked to stay overnight. It was a small resort type accommodation. We stayed in one of the 2 story villas just right in front of the pool.

We just had to make Sandy take her noontime nap. She woke up around 3pm and we prepared again and headed to Palace in the Sky. It was not pretty site to see. the Palace, though historical, is not well kept. It smells bad. There's a lot of trash around, there are vendors, etc.

We didn't stay long, we headed towards picnic grove. Entrance Fee is about 35 pesos per head. We just roamed around the park a little and had pictures taken by the breath taking view.

We went back to Keni Po before it got dark.

Veejay explored his camera on night shots of the hotel and they look great. I think Keni Po should buy these photos for their collaterals. hahaha.

The next day, we woke up early and headed to McDonald's for breakfast. Sandy heard the song, Baby Baby by Justin Bieber and sang along with it from then on!

After the breakfast we went to Paradizoo. It's a little far, it's actually located in Mendez Cavite. We probably drove 20 to 30 minutes from Tagaytay Junction. This zoo is also owned by Residence Inn and Zoobic. Entrance is P100 each.

I loved this zoo better. They have more animals than Residence. Their place is huge. They have a sunflower garden, a pond of positivity and a pet cemetery. It was cool. They also offer overnight accommodation but was not available the time of our visit because their electricity is under maintenance.

It was a fun filled Weekend Getaway. When we go to a place, i make it a point to maximize the stay and visit as many places as we can. We could've seen the flower farm as well, however they were fully booked. And they only entertain on certain hours so it's hard to get a schedule.

If you want to add this to your itinerary, you have to call them even when you are still in Manila.

Happy Trip!
